 Gran's farm, uniquely located only 14 1/4 miles from Belize City on the Western Highway, is an eco-agro-tourism based daytime establishment. It offers a wide variety of entertainment to tourist and locals alike providing night time activities when requested. Driving time is less than 20 minutes.
"Gran's Farm" is dedicated to the memory of the proprietor's grandmother, a hard working, kind, friendly, open, always caring, honest, down to earth individual. She was the matriarchal giant of the family. As the word "Grand" means, "earth's closest spot to paradise", foremost, chief, impressive, majestic, excellent, superb, marvelous magnificent, imposing, splendid, etc. "Gran" was even more. She loved life and she loved nature. Gran's Farm is but a mere speck of what she meant to many. We believe that with her continuous guidance and God's perpetual will, this farm has come to symbolize man's true purpose on earth; "change and nurture nature without abusing her for the benefit of all mankind, work in harmony with her limitless knowledge and she will provide for you. "
The ecology of Gran's Farm includes the Hector Creek which flows from its junction with the Western Highway towards our facilities. This riverine environment with its lowland rainforest boast a large variety of colourful orchids, rainforest trees and an even more exciting array of birds, mammals and small reptiles.
Our agricultural area is layed out with over 60 species of exotic tropical fruit trees. Our botanical garden hosts more than 600 species of ornamental and decorative plants.
